San Sior at the Keep Tidy Wales Awards

On Monday morning a very excited Erin and Amelia got the 6.20am train to Cardiff with Mrs Roberts and Mrs Hoe we arrived in Cardiff at 10am and headed straight to the Pier Head building where the ceremony was taking place.

There was an exciting buzz in the air as lots of people from across Wales came together to celebrate many incredible projects.

Erin and Amelia waited as the awards ceremony started San Sior had been shortlisted for the Eco-Schools in the Community Award.

Both the girls jumped up when the schools name was announced, San Sior had come third out of 1800 Eco schools in Wales. The girls had big smiles as they collected a voucher and certificate of Tom Shanklin. The Environment minister for Wales Carl Sargent was at the event and the girls explained all about our Eco projects at the school.

After a delicious lunch it was time to catch our train at Cardiff station back to Llandudno.
